Target Audience Questionnaire Results

Evaluation

For our questionnaire we asked 5 boys and 15 girls. Our target audience was females but we wanted to get a male opinion to check our productive audience was right. The 5 boys that we asked chose horror action and thriller as there favourite genre of films, and Rom-com was the favourite out of the girls. From the results of this questionnaire i think that Rom-com would be a good choice of genre. More than half of the people we asked said that the opening of a film is important to them, this could mean that it would be a good idea to focus on making the opening really eye-catching. More than 3/4 said that they think the title of a film is very important, this suggests that when we are thinking of a title to our film it needs to make the film look appealing. In my film analysis of 27 dresses they used cross cutting between the two main character to open the film. When we asked about cross cutting in the questionnaire 2/3 thought that it would be a good idea to use at the start. This is a very good way to open a film so it could be a good idea to design our film opening on cross cutting the two main characters. Finally we asked about a soundtrack and allot of the people we asked said it would be a good idea to use a soundtrack in the opening in order to help set the scene. This would be a good idea to use in our film opening.
